Cost Containment System

AHCCS / AHCCCS Plans for Children, Families and Small Businesses - Pg 1

The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is Arizona's state-managed Medicaid plan, and their mission is stated as: "Reaching across Arizona to provide comprehensive, quality health care to those in need." Arizona residents are fortunate to have AHCCCS available to them as the program has been widely proclaimed as a success and cutting edge approach to managed health care. While no managed health care program is without its flaws and bureaucracies, AHCCCS does succeed in providing excellent and comprehensive coverage to children, low income families, seniors and small businesses by working through local private health care insurers.
